Finding visuals in the sound.

There’s always a special challenge in trying to lend visuals to music. Where do you start? Do you try to envision the meaning behind the words? Do you visualize the melody? Or do you perhaps try to capture a feeling? I had the good fortune of working closely with No No Yeah Okay’s producer on multiple projects for the band, each one with its own unique set of challenges. Each had its own narrative themes to explore, and the resulting visuals each leaned heavily on the music, the lyrics and the themes the band tried to explore with each outing.
I am incredibly proud to have been a part of NNYO’s journey.
